Summer Diaries: Cape Cod

A few weeks ago, we spent the weekend on Cape Cod (for Erica's birthday - age? umm... let's just say the quarter life crisis is now in full effect), lounging around doing a whole lot of drinking nothing, reading magazines (tabloids), playing Pictionary (it got super intense...) eating cucumber sandwiches, laying out for hours, riding bicycles to the beach, and I think it's safe to say that we took our fair share of shots and ate more than a considerable amount of chips.

Getting out of the city on hot summer weekends, is absolutely the very best thing. Who doesn't want to be at the beach every chance they get?!

En route to the Cape, our mini van (a seriously luxurious mode of transportation), broke down! Straight up, broke-down on the side of the highway, in the middle of the night - in the rain! A solid 4 hours away from Falmouth, we had no choice but to turn 'lemons into lemonade'. What was supposed to be our first night at the Cape, turned into an all-night slumber party at a Holiday Inn Express. This, we believe, is where our drinking and games, and drinking-games began. Up all night in a tiny hotel room with best friends, isn't the worst case scenario, so naturally we got a little cray.
Finally, hangovers and all, we arrived at the Cape house, and got right on our bikes! For us city folk, riding around the country on bicycles is something that hasn't happened since we were like 6 years old, living at our parents homes in the suburbs.
What's age? We're like, 10.
Day 2! Cocktails, magazines, and getting sunburnt.
Postcard style de la Nate, Alex, Rob, and Lizzie.
Wearing: Forever 21 Crochet Shorts (similar), Rachel Zoe Cuff, Topshop Sandals (on sale!), Mango Striped Top (similar), H&M Straw Hat.
