After spending a week working in LA (more on this later..), getting back to a chilly, winterlust NYC, has been more than an adjustment. I'm looking forward to it finally being Spring in the city, no jacket required, hat -optional, no need for gloves, scarves, or one hundred layers. When we can wear just a plain white tee and some denim! But, until then it's back to teddy coats and sweaters, and other not-so-basic, basics.
A t-shirt and denim, is my go-to look for any day, any season. Casual, comfortable, and the ultimate classic look - a plain white tee and blue jeans can be snazzed up to be dressy - insert a strappy stiletto, statement necklace, and a red lip - or kept simple a la a quintessential all-American fit, by adding a pair of chucks. Don't underestimate the power of a plain white tee, after all, every notable outfit is always built on the foundation of basics. And, for me, pairing this District Clothing T-Shirt with a teddy coat, was my way of keeping things casual and sophisticated, yet more than wearable enough for a Saturday out running around Brooklyn.
