Time After Time

The holiday season is always so reflective for me. I can't help but think about - sometimes romanticize - the past year and wonder about the upcoming one; will there be as much change, will I find everything I'm looking for, will this be the year of magic and some good old fashioned l-o-v-e?
The more I think about it, the more I really believe that
 really is
always
on
our
side.
So, while you take the time to think about the past year, remember how far you've come, how much you (and your wardrobe) have improved, and how much you endured that you never thought you'd be able to.
Hooray to you!
Hooray to us.

In sticking with the theme of unraveling my New Years Resolutions before you, reminding myself to be present and enjoy the smaller moments, the ones that really matter, is right up there with eating healthy, going to the gym, and any other classically vague resolutions.

Smaller moments.

I love those. I love them the most.

Moments, like
how the first part of my holiday begins.
With
carrying my overpacked luggage through Penn Station and taking the train home to my mom's.

I always bundle up in a cozy scarf and sweater, grab a new magazine and a hot chocolate, do a little bit of the crossword in People Magazine (yes. . .), and the honest truth is,
I'm always running late
and incessantly checking
