It's no secret that we have a long standing love affair with our neighborhood. When we first moved to Williamsburg, it was absolutely unplanned, but viably the most serendipitous moment to date. A quick decision we made, that manifested into something we never thought it would. In early 2008, our lease was up in the city, our semester was beginning in less than a week, and moving back to the suburbs was just not an option. So, we impulsively moved into our friend's apartment, shared the attic space, and have been Brooklyn babies ever since. Now, our BK experience didn't always feel much like a fairytale. We've moved multiple times, have shared the smallest rooms possible (which, in hindsight were probably closets), and like most New Yorker's have felt many love/hate moments but ultimately just couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
So, flash ahead to five years later - now - we're still in Williamsburg, and are finding that we love it a little more each year. We've snapped photos on our block a million times, but had the most amazing time shooting with the beyond, passed the point of beyond, talented Emma Jane Kepley.
Not my usual all-black-everything ensemble, but there's something to love about a pop of print and a pop of color! Nothing like just putting on a dress and feeling like you can spend the entire day in it!
Back at it in blazers! I think Davie waits all Summer long, for the Fall to arrive, so he can finally pull out his assortment of blazers. But, to be honest, blazers are the perfect 'His and Hers' go-to for the season! I've been increasingly inspired by menswear, and a good blazer/denim combo is just essential.
