It's finally starting to feel a lot like Fall in the city, and we couldn't be more excited! Yesterday, we spent some time editing our personal closets, getting rid of a lot of items we love but haven't worn in ages, and officially making the switch from summer wardrobe to more appropriate fall attire. Clothing can be sentimental and getting rid of your favorite pieces is no easy task! We personal shop, edit, and organize other peoples closets all the time, but when it comes time to do our own, we're instantly confused, start kicking and screaming (kidding, kind of). But, the way we look at it, you can't make room for amazing new clothes if you're still holding onto ones you've had since middle school. Of course you should always consider what to reinvent and what to retire, so it's OK to hang on to certain favorites. For instance, we're never getting rid of our leather jackets, but realized that we perhaps had some anonymous items that were a tad outdated - oops, leggings with zippers down the side.
For the ladies, mix a plaid pencil skirt into your wardrobe, and pair it with basic tee's or knits, cropped leather jackets, and strappy stilettos. If you're anything like I am, you're all about quick and easy, no fuss dressing. So, this is the perfect go-to!
What I'm Wearing:
Erica: Nasty Gal Leather Jacket, Left on Houston Knit Tank, S.I.C Couture Pencil Skirt, Ray-Ban Aviators, Rachel Zoe Cuff, Zara Heels.
