New York Fashion Week: I

To say it's been 'one hell of a week', would be an understatement. Fashion week, with it's highs and lows, is always something that we as little New York babies would think about and keep up with - naturally. Question one: How exciting is it when you get to circle back to childhood, think about all the things you thought your life would be, and are able to flash forward 20 years to adulthood - quarter life - and realize that you're exactly where you're meant to be. We could sit here and talk about the shows we loved the most (which, we will), dish on what all the after-parties were like, talk endlessly about who we met, who was wearing what (again, anticipate this for another day..). But what we want to do, is to, on the day following fashion week's close, sit and think about how [lucky] we are to be doing what we love.

So, our favorite shows to follow. And, some behind the scenes looks at how we really survived the hectic schedule. But for now, here's what we wore on Day 4 of NYFW. That day, we attended Tracey Reese, Custo Barcelona, and Joanna Mastrionni - not to mention the super fun and much needed rooftop, cocktail break with our friends at rewardStyle!

And, for this day, we let the shoes do all the talking (or tawlkin' if you're getting your NY accent on).
Since the Winter, I've been really into mixing flashy pencil skirts with basics. Something about piecing together looks that have dressier elements - inset this glitter pencil skirt - with an alternate take on a basic tee. Almost all year, I wore sweatshirts like this, and since I'm not that big on change, I think I'll be wearing some version of this all over again.
What We're Wearing:
Erica: Rachel Roy Top (similar), Topshop Pencil Skirt, Zara Shoes (similar), Dannijo Cuffs (Carson and Iroquois)
