Sweater Weather

Nothing says Fall, more than being able to skip out of your apartment, in nearly anything you want. Sweaters, skirts, and booties are my uniform for a season of light layers, oversized knits with broken in denim, and some version of a loafer or combat boot.

Most of the time, you can find me, scouring my beaux's closet to see what sweaters, flannels, or oxford shirts I can steal to wear for that day. Something about wearing a simple, oversized menswear item, and pairing it with rocker pieces (but always adding a feminine touch!) is my favorite. Otherwise, when it's just me, my own closet, and I, I usually shop for pieces that I can easily mix and match with anything. Dramatic oversized prints - every seasons obsession is plaids and tartans - in black, whites, and tans are the most versatile. Something that is subtle but still serves a fashionable punch.
Adding a pop-of-color always adds some unexpected edge. I love adding in bold hues like reds, cobalts, and emeralds to switch up from my ordinary all black. Throw in some buckles and metal and you're more than good to go!
I recently alked about reinventing classics and adding a modern spin on something old and almost worn out! Sweaters and penny loafers, are just a couple of items that you can snag from your grandpa's closet, that we guarantee will look cooler than ever now.
