As If

Did you know that both Vogue and WWD named Clueless, the "Fashion Movie of the Year"?!

Anywho, much like with Practical Magic, I've had more than a mild obsession with Clueless; it's lingo, fashion, and sarcasm. Luckily enough for me, I went to Catholic School and suddenly felt so chic in my plaid skirt, oxford shirt, and knee high socks. Now, I've come to the conclusion that it's perfectly acceptable to wear a Catholic School Uniform rendition, in my normal mid-20's life here in Brooklyn. Who doesn't love the 90's? Better yet, who isn't so excited that plaids and tartans have made such a comeback! As if.
I've upped the ante, so to speak, trading in my conservative Catholic School uniform for something with a kick. Still sweet and innocent, but swapped a stiff oxford for a light and airy sheer layer. Got rid of my varsity cardigan and opted for a black cropped sweater. And, finally; the coup de gras! When I was younger our plaid uniform skirts had to be below our knees. If you were guilty of rolling your skirt up to make it shorter - like we all always were - you'd get sent to sit on the bench. So now, mini skirts with bad ass booties, it is.
