Neutrals, Essentially

I love the idea of an entirely neutral outfit. Ah, the endless styling possibilities of warm camels, tans, and other earthy tones. Something to the tune of all neutrals in gritty textures - mohair, wool, faux anything (a camel colored fur jacket has been my go-to for years!) - for an effortless, must-have and live in all Winter, look.

I recently referred to my winter wardrobe as oatmeal flavored with a twist.

I've a longstanding relationship with my leathers and shredded denims, so to part ways with them, would be such a crime (understatement). But, there's been something about oversized sweaters in cool, earthy tones that just go so perfectly with leather pants or boyfriend jeans, so how could I resist?
Adding in army greens or unexpected pops of color, yet completory "down-to-earth", earthy elements keeps things fresh! Dave even added a print (plaid, of course) to break up his neutral look. And, for weekends brunching in Brooklyn, shopping with friends along Bedford, or frequenting my local corner coffee shop, outfits like these are perfectly cozy. More importantly, sweaters like these make me feel like a modern day Felicity (now, her sweater game was ridiculous). If I could raid her ever-so-ideal, filled with oversized sweaters and turtlenecks, on the cusp of everything that was perfect about the 90's wardrobe, I would. And, if Ben came along with it… that wouldn't hurt either.
