T-Shirts and Pencil Skirts

Whenever I'm getting dressed, I never want to sacrifice my comfort, don't really over think anything because ultimately it's all about how you're 'feeling' (What's your emotional state have to do with your outfit? Oh, just everything!), and always have an element of casualness. Even if I'm getting "dolled up", as it were, for a night out, even when I'm wearing 6-inch stilettos, and most likely if ever I'm in a wedding dress, you won't find me without some sort of edge, something to off-set the dressed up factor. I love pairing t-shirts with unexpected items like pencil skirts, and have been known to even rock a sweatshirt with a pencil skirt to work for meetings. All you need to do, is roll up your sleeves, add a statement necklace or some lipstick, sport some heels and grab your shades, laptop, and a latte to complete this casual-but-not-so, endeavor.

The best t-shirts for this, are the kind that feel something like a second skin. If you're going to go for a tee, consider if the fabric is breathable, how it would look layered under sweaters, blazers, or leather jackets, and more importantly, if you can rock it with everything from denim to pencil skirts, trousers to short-shorts. I've really been into District Clothing T-Shirts lately, because they're perfect for easy dressing and I have to admit, are the very best to travel in. So, for all you jet-setting, city dwelling fashionista's, meet you new best friend. The T-Shirt, how maj. (I had to).
Want to see all the ways I've worn these tee's so far? Check it out here and here! Who says you can't wear t-shirts all winter long? I definitely did.
Wearing: District Clothing T-Shirt, Windsor Store Pencil Skirt, Mango Sweater, Dannijo Cuff.
