So, it’s Spring, but the weather in NYC has been loco-coco, to say the least. Something to the effect of ‘Weather by Sybil’, hot one day then literally snowing the next. The heck! How’s a girl supposed to get her sufficient Vitamin D intake and/or short-shorts game on?! Can I live?
I won’t go into an entire diatribe about Global Warming right now - although I really, really want to – so, more on this later. I’m not sure what one is supposed to wear when the weather proves to be so fickle; rainy and snowy calls for layers and boots, so the otherwise sun-filled days leave me wanting to wear next to nothing.
I have this theory that by the time it actually becomes Summer in the city, all of us New Yorkers are going to walk around practically naked, because we’ve been so deprived and have surged through the longest Winter ever.
My solution, is to keep my layers light, wrap something around my waist – just in case it starts to rain! – and really focus on accessories in unexpected pops of color, to keep things fresh.
Wearing: French Connection Boxy Shirt, Express Moto Jacket, Topshop Sweatshirt, Else Denim, MARY LAI Bag (try it in black!).
