DUMBO

This weekend, I headed upstate to spend some time away from the city, with nature, a little sunshine, and a lotta wine. I've been realizing lately how completely deprived of Vitamin D / happiness I've been without the sun to well...set me free. It's been one helluva Winter in NYC, so I'm happy that it's finally (hopefully) over, but am more thrilled about all the weekend getaways upstate, that I have to look forward to. Cucumber martini's and bikini's - hello!

Before I fled to upstate, I had some time in Brooklyn, and hung around DUMBO. Aside from my visits to SLUMBO to party and ~~bullshit~~ hang out with my very talented favorite people, Dumbo is total uncharted territory for me. I live and die for Brooklyn, it's been where I've grown up and lived the very best parts of my 20's. So, exploring new neighborhoods on weekends, grabbing drinks after work in dingy bars, or hitting up flea markets and random stoop sales, is all I'm about.
