After a weekend of romping around Brooklyn - still breaking in the transition of a New Year and all the new resolutions that come in tow - we're promising to stick to our traditions. We know, revolutionary. Enter: All black, flannel, leather, denim. Sometimes, resolutions don't have to mean trying new things or exploring uncharted fashionable territories. For us, it ultimately means going back to our roots - the core of who we are as people, fundamentally, yes - but also to where our fashion senses have always lead us.
It's easy to get swayed with trends that last as long as most resolutions. You blink and miss a trend completely, but somehow are still left with the remnants of it in your closet. Nylon leggings with zippers down the side, anyone? We know that life (and style) actually begins outside of your comfort zone, and it's fun to watch our wardrobes evolve in accordance with well, our lives. As we grow and shift between the many phases of a "20-something" lifestyle, our style matures, as well. But keeping up with the classics, is always the best idea.
I've worn this Denim & Supply flannel so much this winter, that I've lost count. It's an essential go-to of mine for moments when I want to feel the most comfortable and the most like myself. Whether I'm wrapping it around my waist or pairing it with a skirt for a Cher Horowitz moment, oversized plaid flannels are a must-have in your wardrobe. The best part? You can snag some from your beau's closet!
